AlphaGlass™ Perovskite PV
Every light sourceis an energy source.
AlphaGlass turns indoor light, diffuse daylight, and full sun into usable power.
RadianX’s thin-film perovskite platform combines high light absorption and tunable chemistry to put energy generation directly into products and surfaces.
Performance is independently certified from lab-scale cells through full-size modules.

Why perovskite
A thinner absorber.A wider design space.
Conventional crystalline silicon absorbs light indirectly. Capturing enough light requires a wafer more than 100 micrometers thick.
Perovskite absorbs light directly and intensely.
Diagram shown to relative scale: 100 µm silicon vs. ~1 µm perovskite absorber. Substrate not to scale.
The active absorber in AlphaGlass is less than one micrometer thick—opening a fundamentally different path to how photovoltaics can be manufactured and integrated.
Thin-film processing allows for the deposition of the active material onto substrates including glass and film, creating new possibilities for size, form, and product integration.
All-light performance
All-light performancefor real-worldconditions.
Traditional photovoltaic performance is usually discussed under full sun.
Humans do not live under full sun.
They move between offices, homes, warehouses, vehicles, windows, shade, and outdoor environments. AlphaGlass is engineered to harvest energy across that range.
One platform. From 50 lux to full sun.

Certified performance
Performancethat scales.
High efficiency at lab-cell scale is one thing.
Maintaining performance as the active area grows is the engineering challenge.
AlphaGlass has been independently tested across formats from lab-scale cells to full modules.

Built beyond the lab.
Perovskite performance matters only if it lasts.
Layers within the AlphaGlass module stack are designed for stability and durability.
AlphaGlass has been tested for applications across IEC TS 63163 Categories 1, 2, and 3.

Safety
Engineered withsafety in mind.
High-performance perovskite chemistry requires a rigorous approach to material design and environmental compliance.
AlphaGlass has passed environmental compliance standards including REACH and RoHS.
CompliantREACH
EU regulation on the registration, evaluation and restriction of chemicals.
CompliantRoHS
Restriction of Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
Tunable physics
Tune the materialto the light.
Different light. Same platform.
Tuned performance.
Perovskite gives engineers another degree of freedom: the bandgap can be tuned through chemistry.
That means the absorber can be optimized around the wavelengths a product encounters most.
An indoor sensor can be engineered around artificial illumination such as white LEDs. An outdoor device can be optimized around the solar spectrum.
Instead of forcing every application onto the same photovoltaic architecture, AlphaGlass lets the material respond to the environment.
Indoor sensor
Tuned to white LED light.
A wider bandgap concentrates absorption on the visible wavelengths LEDs emit.

Design freedom
Power without the lookof a solar panel.
Power generation should not dictate a product’s look.
Conventional solar cells are visually obvious. AlphaGlass can become part of the product surface itself.
Depending on the application, photovoltaic films can be engineered toward surfaces that are:

Uniform
A consistent visual field.

Semitransparent
Light and energy can share the same surface.

Finish-matched
Power generation integrates with the surrounding product language.
AlphaGlass is also manufactured differently.
A photovoltaic formulation is blended and then coated onto glass or film at low temperature.
Fewer transformations. Lower-temperature processing. A more agile manufacturing architecture.
